So suddenly everybody hates you, wat do?
Seb:
I've seen a crazy amount of people lately that just seem to have gotten every member of this community at their worst (very rarely do I genuinely dislike somebody from the internet, it is not part of my mortal code to hate anonymously), ranging from newbies to people that have been in this community for a while. So, with that in mind, I present this guide on...
How to be un-hated!
Take it from me, I was hated as well (I'm looking at you, former hater Don).
What did I do wrong?
Well, either of these things could've gotten you hated against...
1. Raging hard on forums
2. Resorting to ad hominum (insulting the arguer instead of countering the argument) counterarguments
3. Bumping old threads
4. Something as little as having a nonpunctuated, capitalized name with numbers and punctuation marks strikes people as annoying
5. Imperfect grammar
6. Immature/disgusting/stupid/random replies
7. Just plain being an asshat
STEP 1: DON'T RESPOND TO IT
This might be hard at first, but just don't respond. Don't make any butthurt threads, don't comment on when people bring up your mistake, and don't bring it up yourself (I'm looking at YOU, Frank). Once you are done with this (or WHILE) you are doing this step [implying this step ends]), you are ready for the NEXT step...
STEP 2: GO ON AS USUAL
Respond to threads as though nothing was wrong, if not try to sound as neutral as possible. Hell, even try contributing by starting successful threads. This works hand in hand with step 1. There's not really much to explain with this thread.
STEP 3: SHOW SOME DAMN HUMILITY / KINDNESS / ENGLISH
Yeah, this is the internet, nobody knows who you really are, you can say whatever you want without consequence, blah, blah, blah. If for some reason you've decided you want to stick with this community, then show some ass-kissing. Fight fire with rainbows and hearts and smiley faces and unicorns (just don't overdo it).
Oh, also, grammar. Spaces after periods and commas, use the ENTER button when typing a lot, spell correctly, punctuate, etc. Proper nouns are capitalized, always space after a period/question mark/exclamation mark, and know the difference between you/you're/your.
STEP 4: JOKE AROUND
Once you're sure people respect you enough, start to joke like the old times before you were hated (or the older members who you probably look up to).
STEP 5: Good, you've gotten this far. DON'T STOP
If you've managed to do it for this long, why stop?
\AND THAT'S ALL FOR THIS MEDIOCRE GUIDE ON HOW TO GET YOUR GROOVE BACK

  But the best method is still the proventative method in which you try not to anger ppl. Angering ppl isnt worth it over the internet. It is less satisfying.
Well..... Thanks for the guide!

Some people do it unintentionally.
