@ontopic - The 3DS is different, I'll give it that, but it's not as, well, immersive as 3D glasses would.

What it is, is multiple layers. Instead if the game popping out AT you, it's more you looking INTO the screen. It has pixels on different slides, with (I think) ten slides lined up against each other. That's how it creates the 3D effect.

I might get a 3DS, I might not. I still need to see it with my own eyes and see if it's worth the price tag.

A virtual boy was two screens, that displayed different images, and when looked at simultaneously, gave a false three-dimensional effect.

This has multiple layers on ITS screen, so its making it look like everything is real INSIDE the 3ds.

Think of it as a backwards pop-out book.

So it's just two layers. Maybe Nintendo can make that go a long way. Iunno.
