Think of it this way. Regulars have the ability to vote on votekicks and votebans.
As it is, most regulars are trusted members of the community.
But if we give regular to a bunch of idiots we don't know or have never played with, then that takes it a little closer to the old rank system - where authority was too easy to get and you could kick someone for no reason at all because fucktards just go "HURR DURR VOTE YES FOR THE LULZ"

So, my personal choice is an instant :thumbsdown: to someone I don't know.
