How did you feel during your first few weeks in college?
Monorail Cat:
I just started this week, but moved in last week. So essentially, I've been at college for 2 weeks, and I FUCKING LOVE IT. I am one-and-a-half hours from home, a perfect distance, and I have so much freedom. This has been a great time of my life already. I hope it only gets better.

Well, unfortunately I'm nearly as far away from home as I could be. I left Hawaii to go to college in Michigan State University for its Engineering schooling which is suppose to be one of the best in the country, aside from the more well known places like Stanford and such.
I'm just really feeling homesick because Hawaii, as Tezuni could tell you, is much different from the mainland. I really miss the culture there, my family, and especially my girlfriend. Now that a few more days have gone by and I've gotten used to it, I've gotten a little better. I'm just focusing on finishing this semester and going back home for Christmas break for a few weeks.
Cake Faice:
I started last week, like monorail, I do fucking love it. 20 minute drive to and from, people will actually say hi, hold intelligent conversations, no delinquents who distract the class, it's fun.
cogsandspigots:
I'm really liking it here at Texas A&M. I'm quite a ways from home, just have 100miles. But it's alright, I haven't felt homesick yet. Although I haven't learned anything this first week and I don't think I will for a little while, we started on topics I learned my junior year of high school.

The classes are the same with me. I have intermediate Algebra because I didn't take a placement test seriously, and I finished high school with calculus -_-.
I'm also taking Japanese, but I'm taking it much more serious this time so it should be more fun and I'll learn a lot more. Hopefully I'll know it enough to use in back in Hawaii for the Japanese tourists ;)
School has gotten a lot better though in the past week, especially since it's gone by really fast and I'm not even that busy yet with working and school.
