In All Programs type cmd, right click on cmd and run as admin. That will get you the administrator prompt you need, however know that if your windows is illegitimate an sfc scan might remove that method or corrupt your system's ability to boot.

And what he means by hiding is: If you run windows update manually and check the updates that you want yourself, you can normally exclude updates. However, if you also right click on those updates you can hide them from any further updating. You can also reset the ones you hide later at any time.

I would try that first before you run any file checks.

Apparently that update error 0xc0000005 means access is denied to w/e resource involved. Probably caused by a bad update. This is the update that this person had a problem with.

Try to disable one by one and find out which one is causing your problems, then attempt to uninstall and hide it from the update list so that you don't have to worry about it in the future.
