Supertoaster:
So I start up my computer today and AVG gets an update and decides to make it Chromes default engine.

no big deal, go to change Google back to default, restart Chrome. It's still forcing me to use it. I even disabled the Chrome extension.

Anyone?

jimonions:
I have avg but I don't have the chrome addon.

I'm not getting anything like that.

coolzeldad:
Hmm, try to uninstall the AVG search options. Check your program install list and remove anything avg regarding secure search or toolbar etc.

Then reboot and set to w/e and test that.

cogsandspigots:
It changed my start page and my browser on my toolbar for Firefox, but it didn't change my defaults. So when I started up Firefox again, it was back to normal.
It was only a one time thing. Strange.
