Where did everyone go at those times in the server?

That's what I mean, the players would probably ruin the servers, they will look at other servers like TTT and Morbus and say "ooh whats this?" connect, rdm. get banned.
My point is that there will be more work for admins and VIPs, they will have to go back and forth to moderate three servers.
Maybe I am over reacting, I just don't want to see this community turn to shit...

Honestly, like someone said before,i'd rather have a bunch of RDMers and rule breakers than have the servers empty 80% of the time.
Why do you think we have so many VIPs anyway?

I see that people like to refer to players who play certain game modes as groups while they are all essentially Garry's mod players. That being said I don't think much of Garry's mod players play only one game mode so basically it doesn't really matter what game mode do they play, they, as players, are all pretty much the same it's just that each game mode offers a different amount of possibilities to abuse it.

Honestly I think our server would handle darkRP really well. Our moderators aren't bad at all and we are very stict on keeping things in order. Sure it'll attract players that might be annoying, but honestly we all start some where, why not rNd? I'd rather have players that might need some growing up, then none at all. If we had a darkRP server I'd probably be there 99.9% of the time, so I don't think "lack of moderation" would really be an issue.

Tbh I'm fine with DarkRP but I think people are over looking one major difference between RND and really ever successful DarkRP or any RP server that I've been on.
Any roleplay gamemode will have a lot more rules than say morbus or even TTT because every player is expected to play a role and to not abuse it in the situation given. It's however, very easy to and probably the reason DarkRP is so common. A lot of people undeniably like to join to purposely exploit the gamemode's unavoidable flaws.
Back to what I said though, the main difference is that RND has maybe a small handful of active admins as opposed to nearly any DarkRP server which will have a buttload. RND is more careful with what admins are selected whereas DarkRP servers general have the idea that promoting many people quickly and demoting the ones that don't work well is best. And for a gamemode like that it is best. No one's going to join and seriously play DarkRP unless it's heavily moderated and the only way that's going to happen is if there are many more VIPs and admins. Not saying that this change would be worth it fyi, just giving my two cents on the situation.

More or less I think that the only way we could even consider having a successful DarkRP gamemode is by maybe changing up the ranked system a little again in some way that will benefit. Maybe even making a new rank, possibly one specifically for DarkRP just so there's going to at least be someone on there nearly at all times.

I know some people feel that RND does have enough ranked members and for what it hosts currently I would more or less have to agree. I like how it is currently. However, we need to consider how players react to different gamemodes and what changes might need to be made for that to work. I have a feeling most people won't want major changes like this just for a DarkRP gamemode. If you go on any popular DarkRP server that has say 20 people, even with 2 or 3 actual admins it often is a lot to handle for them and a lot of people get away with subtly breaking rules because it's very difficult for such a small number of people to watch over exactly what every single person is doing. So having one person sitting in there 24/7 isn't actually going to make that big of an impact especially because there's no way that's going to actually be monitored that whole time. So really as far as I'm considered with ranked members, the more the merrier. At least for DarkRP.

Again not saying that I think that should even happen, just saying what I think would be required if there were a DarkRP server implemented. Personally I don't really care too much on way or another, all just depends on what other people are willing to do.
