What the hell is wrong with the police in this country?

Oh I can. There will always be those few fucks that end up being... fucks as officers. Its humanity, there will always be those people. A uniform doesn't change that, nor does it guarantee decency. I would like further details however.

Its more than the idea of being paid to have power is a bit much for some, and ends up bringing in the crazies. Police are vital to civilization, but the craptastic ones are a bit less so. Any half wit can figure out that a kid holding a puppy isnt going to bomb the nearest government building in the next few moments.

Man that really tugs at your heart strings... I believe there are people out there who do what they do because they love it, and they really do want to protect people, because their country matters to them; but like any society, you can not be blind to those who seek that power to use it to serve only themselves, and their own selfish acts. I believe these corrupt officiers do these things because it makes them feel like they have more control, they're power hungry. I don't like to say that America's police force and government are corrupt, because I don't think that's the case... I do think there are people who still want to make a difference. If there weren't, I don't think we'd still be standing.

You will always have people who will taint what you stand for, since they wear the same uniform and do the opposite of what the uniform stands for. What's important is that you remind people what these roles in our society, are really meant to be. Being a police officer you have one common goal, and that is to protect the public, and uphold the law, however the people wearing those uniforms, they have their own minds, and their own beliefs as to what is right and what is wrong. And often their views can become misconstrued. It's understandable to bunch them together as a whole, but honestly it's not really fair.


I respect the men and women though, who still hold the value of what it means to be an officer, and serve their community and their country. To me that is a great honor, and unless you know otherwise, you should always respect those people for the service they provide you. Because just like that man, who helped that little boy with something so simple, they put their lives on the line every day to defend people who often times, never appreciate the things they do.

Ugh, it's just that because there are a few bad ones out of a couple million cops out there, any little thing done wrong instantly fuels retarded anti-authority liberals who try and tell everyone in the world that authority is bad and police are scum.

If people just respected authority a bit more and not do stupid things towards cops because "muh freedoms", there wouldn't be much of this going around. Like example, the cops shooting the dog video. It tugged the heartstrings of thousands, soon to be millions of people, but then again, the owner was filming an arrest, the officers asked him not to interrupt with the investigation, the guy was too dumb to take no for an answer...didn't properly train his rottweiler...and yeah. The dog was a rottweiler, they could easily inflict massive amounts of damage on people when not properly trained, forcing the officers to do what they had to do.

Cops can easily be okay people (provided they're not those bowl haircut style woman officers who think they're tough shit) if you comply with their orders and not stir up shit because "MUH FREEDOMS".
