Because the design clearly stood out from the other consoles and looks like it belongs in the year 2013.

Other then that, the only promising things I found were KH 3 and GT 6.

The packaging is part of the product. Hell even the box it comes in is part of the product. So the look is important. (Hurrah Marketing class.)

Never said it wasn't an important factor in selling a product, just said that I believe there are more deciding factors than just the case design when choosing to buy a game console.
