Some of you may already know, about 4 weeks ago I broke a bone in my hand. That day I went to the ER and had to wait 4 hours, 2:00 in the morning to get a doctor to look at my x-rays. I left at 2:00 when no doctors looked at my x-rays still. One week after I broke the bone the ER finally called and got me to come in and got a splint on me (I'd had to try and manage as it was, had nothing on it until I got in that week after). The doctor was a huge douche, kept making sarcastic comments like "Oh, that was kind of them to call you even though you bailed out." and while he was checking to see what the damage was, where it hurt, etc he felt that I must have been exadurating or something, and decided to press down nice and hard on my broken bone, just to see if it hurt. It fucking did... Now just today, 4 weeks after I broke my bone, and have been wearing the splint he gave me to wear for 3 weeks, get my x-ray at the fracture clinic and had to wait 3 fucking hours for Dr. Douchefag to come out and look at my hand and the x-rays again. He does the same shit, but less sarcastic comments (must have operated on more boobs and been happy before he saw me, since he's a plastic surgeon) then he tells me that my bone shifted away another 3 mm and I'll have to wear the splint for atleast another 3 weeks and get another x-ray and do the whole process all over again because the splint didn't work...

Lol get a new doctor Lmao
Sabb:
I wish, but it's not my family doctor, it's a "hand specialist" that we were given by our actual doctor, so it's more complicated.
Xrain:
I did this my freshman year of high-school.
Broke my radius on my wrist while doing a bit of motocross... Had to wear a splint for 4 weeks and a cast for 8 weeks, got surgery two weeks after I broke it since it had fallen out of place again. Yea not the most fun time of my life, now my left arm is about 1 cm shorter than my right.
So yea I understand the experience your going through, when I had first broke it and my wrist was about 2 in out of place, the lady running the x-ray machine was like, Can you please make your arm a bit flatter? .... (if I could I wouldn't be here...) so I just told her no, and eventually with the help of another doctor we managed to find a position that didn't cause too much pain, and relatively flat.
Can't they just set your hand bone and pin it? That's what they ended up doing on my wrist, had two 4 in pins going sideways all the way through my wrist. holding my radius to the adjacent bone.
Sabb:
Damn.
Something similar's probably going to happen to me too :/.
When they were trying to get x-rays the first time it hurt like a bitch cause she flattened it a lot (forcing it) and told me to hold it like that and it was damn painful :/.
Everyone at the hospital was ignorant too :/. It was quite obvious that I was in pain, considering my hand was broken and my face must have shown it but no one says sorry or anything, they would hardly even talk.
