Never read the books either. But the series is amazing. Makes me want to read em.

I watched "Jurassic Park" before reading the first book.
Book was awesomer.

I could never get into the first movies. I'll give this one a go and see how it is. The book was pretty nice from what I remember of it.

I also went to the midnight show. It was good, but if you're expecting another Lord of the Rings, lower your expectations.
