A glass of red wine is good for the heart and a glass of beer is even healthier than wine.
Beer contains antioxidants and a whole string of important B vitamins like niacin and folic acid, fiber content is quite high which is good for your digestive system and the active ingredient in alcohol from beer actually keeps your arteries free of blockages.
Everything is bad when you take too much of it, but in moderation it can have benefits. I say drink if you like the taste and you know you can control yourself, don't force yourself to drink because it's "socially acceptable".

What I've never gotten is why hard liquor tends not to result in a hangover, whereas the one night I got pissed and drank half the wine cabinet the next day my head felt like my brain was trying to secede from my body.

also found in yahoo that is the percentage of alcohol in the wine that makes you drink a lot more than what you think that gets you the worst handover.
Idk but I have never had a headache because of alcohol, just the mouth dry the next day and once felt like trowing up but because I drank milk as soon as I woke up

the only time ive felt like shit from drinking was when i got crossfaded and got the spins. other than that, ive had no problems with alc or weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed
