A 965 even with a decent OC still bottlenecks a 670, and the 670 will probably obselete by 2014, meaning your CPU would bottleneck you heavily down the road. Saving up another $50 or so will keep your build steady a lot longer.

Well, the computer I use right now was 8 years old and was doing me good till the ram died

R.I.P OCZ 2x1 GB Platinum Edition RAM

Zevante:
I know, but there will be a day where the 6850 won't cut it anymore, and if you're upgrading you'll probably want something mid-high range to make it worth your money. If you decided to make that upgrade a year or more from now it would be bottlenecked by that CPU.

Well then give me a 100 dollar or less processor. I had just learned that I can only spend 300 dollars.

Zevante:
What resolution are you gaming at?
