I thought Portal 2 looked very very good. It was hard to tell it was Source sometimes.

It's the system that kept the player from losing fps and was pretty effective.

It's fucking ancient along with the baked lighting, but it can be run on even the most shitty of systems. Every new game Valve releases has improved engine-wise.
