Because we do the exact same thing. People wonder why they do this. It's because they're imitating US! Don't tell me that's wrong because when you were a little kid you know you saw somebody and said "I want to be just like him". Kids online are the same thing. Now as for the strangers thing I can agree.

Letting the internet/random strangers shape who your child is an awful move on the parents end.
