I actually have many details about this.
First off, he did it because he got bored of Garry's Mod and didn't think he would be coming back to it, so think of it like a kid at your school making a shootout and then comiting suicide. As they wanted to go out known for something they did, and in that case, It was bad.
He had told me it was going on for two weeks, and it was not indeed a hack, it was a material edit. I have images of examples he showed me for proof.

So, yeah. He didn't think he was going to nor wanted to come back, but yeah. As Snivy said he can appeal when he likes, and so yeah.
