What game series are your guilty pleasure?

If we're talking about pc play then I can see where you're coming from, on consoles however Treyarch preforms patches extremely frequently and efficiently. The spawn placements aren't "easy to camp" unless you're playing demolition or you're talking about Black ops V1.0.0 before any patches. The weapons are actually not diverse at all for example the base stats on the commando and galil are the same also the base stats for the famas and the aug ALSO the stats for the mp5k and the ak 74 u (pre-patch). What's different is their drop off ranges and their recoil patterns. Maps balancing? That doesn't even make sense considering the spawn system allows you to flip to one of several locations on the map and begin spawning there unless of course you're playing search in which case you switch sides after 3 rounds anyway. The only statement that has any validity is no patch support and that only pertains to PC. Call of duty isn't a PC game just as Battlefield isn't a console game.
And uh, Aliens games, I love the movies and even though the dynamics of the games are shit and they're riddled with glitches and bugs I just can't get enough of being a xenomorph or predator for that matter.

No game that's really "guilty".

But if you're going to be playing shit, know you're playing shit. Don't try to justify it or come up with some non-existent counter-defense.
Mirror's Edge is literally my #1 favorite game ever made, but I'm smart enough to know that it has a lot of flaws. The repetitive levels, dull color schemes, boring story, and lack of anything aside from "get from point A to point B" gameplay makes it pretty forgettable to most, and didn't score too well with critics.
I love it for that though, I love learning about the world, the story, I love the color schemes and art style, and for me, the gameplay never gets boring. I can't tell you how many times I've replayed it, and can still replay it. Does that mean it's good? No.
Mirror's Edge is pretty mediocre, but it's still my all-time favorite game, and I love everything about it.

I know that Call of Duty has a few flaws here and there, mostly IW ones, not Treyarch as much, and I still enjoy it. It's by far NOT my most favorite game(s) of all time (That place is taken by Half-Life 2) but I still enjoy it.

Call of Duty is only worth buying for entertainment purpose, mainly with friends.
If you're about to play alone, you won't experience any fun, unless you get to know new friends there.
Lately, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been overwhelmed by shit loads of hackers, and no one from the company is gonna do shit to get the problem solved. In the other hand, they're still releasing shit loads of DLC for it... =.=
