Actually a good 550W PSU would be fine with this system, but not really safe and especially if he's going to overclock the CPU+GPU.
I say go with a 620W or a 650W PSU and you'll have a great system (A Z77 motherboard would also be better if you have the budget).

All the ASrock mobo's I had have worked wonders, unless you get a DOA of course, I say go for it, always research

A lot of their stuff used to be low end shiz, had lotta peeps wif problems wif dem.
However recently it seemed they turned over a new leaf with the new architectures and seem to be pretty decent :o
