So yeah, it is a high-quality shock/scratch resistant glass they're using now. I guess that's why mine hasn't had problems.

Hmm you got a point there. Though, according to this website http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_5-4910.php, the IPhone 5 will use that Gorilla glass 2.
