Two new gamemodes introduced in mid-later 2011.
Stronghold is basically a shooter with a mix of Battlefield + Brink. You can barricade and camp in buildings and the whole point of the game is to kill everybody else. You can also form teams against other people.
Elevator is a mock gamemode which turned into an actual gamemode. SMasters told everybody to suggest it so it was eventually added on release date. Its basically an elevator ride with different floors in which different things happen. You get on and ride through an hour and 30 minutes of elevator. Its actually very entertaining first time around.
