why use facebook etc

In Japan, most of people not using facebook.
and people uses twitter.

Because, Japanese people not want upload private information to internet. ( like, face etc... )
But in USA, looks like most of people uses facebook... or i'm wrong?

So i want see why you guys use facebook.
