But otherwise, you throw on a big green shirt over a long-sleeved white shirt and white pants, put a leather belt over your belly, buy a leather belt with pouches and sling it over a shoulder, put a thin green hoodie's hood over your head, thin leather boots over your feet, bam. Styling the hair can't take too long if your hair is long enough, putting the ears shouldn't take more than a few minutes unless you're retarded. A few hours spent driving, fifteen minutes spent putting the costume and all it's pieces on, and not much more than $55 spent (not counting the shield and sword, and chances are they won't let you in with the sword anyway).

I'll give credit where it's due, though: it's hard to put Photoshop's contrast filter over you in real life.

Yeah that entire cosplay is handmade, so I respect it a lot.
But I can understand what you mean by the other stuff. To be honest though, I'd much rather make my costume as perfect as I can, rather than use cheap shit. I like to make my stuff look nice, not tacky. With my Xion cosplay, yeah I made the Keyblade and put a shit ton of work into making it perfect so it would stand out. As for everything else, I did NOT want to downgrade my lovely key with a shitty cosplay. You have, no idea how expensive my outifit was... Spoiler (click to show/hide)Spoiler (click to show/hide) It was about $160-$200 for everythingAnd majority of it I bought with my own money. I put so much time looking for the right things to wear, the perfect shoes, the right wig. Even though not everything was made by me, I took the time to find things to make it perfect, not just throw something on. It really ticks me off when I see really poorly done cosplays, I understand if people might not always have the money or the means to make it look perfect, but I feel like when you make a shitty cosplay, you're making the character shitty too.

So even if a person does not make everything, it doesn't mean that time can't be put to buy nice things to make it look really nice. They don't even have to be expensive things; a lot of the stuff I found was a lot cheaper than most stuff floating around.

I'm done rambling on about cosplays now. lol...

Like I said, I'd only go as a TF2 Character. More than likely the Soldier.

Not only would I be alone, I'd have to live up to These guys

AND THEN, I've never like comics
so
I'd only be going to...play dress up
