I honestly don't see why they have to make consoles in the first place, Why not just stop focusing on what plays your games and more on releasing more games. I'd just prefer if they released all the games on a single console so that way I don't have to spend all my money buying a PS3 or an Xbox just to find out a really sweet game is coming out on the other one.

Consoles and PC's/Macs were made to COMPETE with each other.
The "PC master race" shit really pisses me off, seeing as though most people that claim "PC over all!" have never tried a console, and don't have the will to do so.

Well, before PC gaming came into play, there were gaming consoles. Like the Atari 2600 and crap, and through out the 80's when gaming on computers like the commodore 64 became popular, people chose consoles because of convince. You had to launch a whole bunch of parameter shit with the commodore which made it a pain in the ass, rather than shoving a cartridge into your NES and playing straight from there. With today's gaming stuff, people chose consoles because of:
A. The games that are console only
B. Not having to spend $1000 on a 1337 gaming computer
C. Not having to worry about driver issues, incompatibilities, not very good graphical settings ect.
D. Using ass-tons of space on older computers
E. Waiting for install times

Everyone wants a piece of the console market, why? Because it's bigger than the PC.
The reason why people buy consoles is because it is A: Convenient and B: Cheaper. It's convenient because you dont have to fiddle around with drivers and settings and it’s cheaper because you don’t have to upgrade to the latest hardware to play x y, or z when seven, seven, year old technology that is the xbox360 can play 2012 games that you would never even hope to launch on an equally outdated PC.

Still, it would be nice for a major PC only release once an awhile, instead of games that were limited by the console being ported over. Seems like post PC only releases are indie games, which is fine, I enjoy them, but regardless...
