Well if that's how they feel so be it, I just act normally, and how other people act is not really something I can control. I just stated my opinion on the matter. Some might not agree, but that's just how I see things.

We've had these discussions before. The jokes get old, the people grow apart, old interests abandoned for new. People are becoming bitter because they are no longer having fun, so they try to point their fingers at something/someone. Add into that a new player base we are not accustomed to, and lack of control on the server(s), and it's easy to feel were losing control.

People just need to understand that things, people, change. You do too, no reason to hate for that.

Yeah.

I've noticed a lot of members go through a sort of "phase" about a year after being here where they feel that everything has changed too much and it's not the same as what made them join in the first place.

At that point, they either leave and are forgotten, or stay and try to put up with it.

There's no real way to get over that. Most people I've seen just take a break from the community. Leave for a few months, then come back.

Others do their best to keep things the way they remember it, but just because of how the world works, their efforts are futile.

We barely even play on our own servers anymore.

We've been reduced to playing the occasional game together, and even then we do it in separate groups. We've officially reached the point where there's too many people for the people that are here to be able to get along with each other when there's ten other people to hang out with. In short, we've made like a high school and made cliques. The community has also gone on long enough for each of us to have our own history here, and plenty of us have had more than one negative experience with each other, poisoning our opinions.

There are a few things that could legitimately fix this, but it'll need cooperation. Something like a large number of us playing ZS or TTT. The problem is none of us WANTS to play any of the servers we have up ATM because they're horrendous. New ZS is easily cool, but it would be so much better if it had some of the things that made old ZS great in it. And don't get me started on TTT.

There's one thing that could help fix the solution, and that's fixing the karma system. I will play our servers 5ever if we had a better karma system.
