Unless said persons give out their IDs to friends, who in turn give them to others.

Not to mention the problem that comes with basing it off of IP's.

If someone posts on their phone, at their friends house, from a wifi hotspot, whatever, they'll be a different ID.

If you can, why not just make it so you can literally log in with your normal forum account? Except when you post, it only shows your name, none of that other stuff. And that way, you can either log in if you want, or not if you don't.

that, along with proxies or just changing your ip when you want a new id
