American media "acceptibility"
cogsandspigots:
One thing that has always bothered me about American media is how "acceptable" somethings are and are not.
Let me give you en example:
Violence and Killing is more acceptable than drug use. But drug use is more acceptable than nudity and sex.
What the hell?
If someone told me they just had sex my reaction would be something like "Hey, good for you"
If someone told me they just killed someone I would scream, run the other way, and call the police.
Deacon:
scare tactics.

So if you would say "Hey, good for you" if someone had sex, and since sex is the worst perceived thing in American Media according to you, what would you say to someone who took a shot of heroine? derp
That's because the last generation is not used to the openness of sex that is in our generation. To them it is still taboo, dirty, disgusting and is not acceptable in media or anything
Devie:
SO.. last night Proudly was helping me make sushi for dinner...
He was rolling it THEN THIS COMMERCIAL CAME ON
SKYN Condoms: The Closest Thing to Wearing Nothing
if you notice, the first few words the second it start.... immediately made him stop doing what hes doing and glare at the tv causing the sushi not to be tightly rolled...
I noticed this and got mad and hit his arm - he didn't budge.
FUCKING MEN
Don:
It's a cultural thing.
Over here, people couldn't care less about nudity, but violence is a big deal.
Drug use/dealing isn't too important unless it's something like a major drug dealer getting caught.
