"Black and Blue Screen of Death"

I just got home from work, and wanted to check a few things before I started homework.
I went to Minecraft first, just to check up on a few things, and during that time, my left monitor (also main) just went black. The right one was still working fine however, so I'm not sure.

It wouldn't shutdown itself, so I turned off the power. Turning it back on, it still wouldn't work, so I decided to turn off everything and let it rest.

After about 10min or so, I turned it back on and it all seemed to work just fine. But, after jjoining minecraft again, the screen showed the "Blue Screen of Death", and now I'm letting it rest a bit more hoping it works.

Any idea what's going on?

Probaly your Drivers or the fact that Minecraft/Java is a bitch on your CPU. Even in the menus. While running my bukkit server and playing the game, I got the same problem. Its only happened once though...

Well I let it sit for a bit, and it seems to work fine again.

Not sure if its the certain bug I am aware of, but its quite common.

Unplug all USB and devices except your mouse and keyboard.
Restart your computer.
If you are running legit windows, try run a windows update.
