HEY GUYS IM TRYING TO BUILD?

(1/4) > >>

Devie:
Alright so, I'm pretty much sick of not being able to play games anymore. I lag severely playing god damn tetris on facebook. My shit is literally deteriorating as we speak. So I've decided to build my own.

NOTE- These are NOT gonna be bought at once. It's probably gonna take me months or I think a YEAR at max to be able to budget everything out since I do have to pay for other regular adult responsibility things.. ANYWAY, these things are the things I PICKED OUT myself without the help of proudly (since he's working) or coolz (since he left to go do drugs in a rave) so I'm entirely on my own . Note that I'm not the biggest knowledgeable tech person who can rig up something in a heartbeat. BUT FUCK, I did my best and please don't judge. Also, please note that it's almost 3am here. Any spelling or any kind of mistakes in terms of this shit, please excuse it..

I've never built anything from scratch before but I have helped upgrade things and put together a shitty ass early 2000s computer in class before, and thats pretty much all I've had in terms of experience so I wouldn't really say they counted.. x_x

ANYWAY HERE THEY ARE:

Osme:
Its cheaper from newegg, and its newegg. Same CPU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808&Tpk=Phenom%20II%20X4%20955%20Black%20Edition
Triple chan memory doesnt serve much purpose in the world of gaming, and you dont really need more than 8gb currently anyways (Why does everyone have 24gb...?). You can always upgrade later anyways
MemoryCheaper and it looks nicer? heh: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314
Mobo, I recommend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131767
Heatsink I recommend spending the extra 5 dollars on newegg, but that is up to you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
Quick look of PSUs brought up this, cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371051
Optical drive. Cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151250
HDD. Well its your choice if you want to spend they few extra dollars with the whole HDD thing at the moment, but I dont really recommend green drive from WD. Compared to black they are a good bit slower to save a whooping 1 watt. Remember, only a suggestion http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
GPU: same card, but with free game and its Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948

Those are just suggestions based on what you already have...

Devie:
Sweet thanks!

FEEL FREE TO ADD MORE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ME PPL!

Oya it would probably take me about 4 months to save up for an actual OS because I wanted windows 7 Ultimate 64bit... lol
That shit is expensive man.

edit:

dude I really like your recommendation for the ram ... THANKS MAN.

Also, I've decided what my gfx is gonna be. At least Im gonna get some help from my loved ones AT LEAST WITH THE GRAPHICS CARD and get the GeForce GTX 580.. there's no way I can afford that shit on my own. So basically I'm buying everything but this.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH... LOOKED AT THE PRICE AND NEVERMIND FUCK THAT SHIT MAN... EVEN IF IM GETITNG HELP IT STILL HURTS ME DEEP DOWN THAT ITS 500 BUCKS ON NEWEGG.

Supertoaster:
You don't need an 850w power supply. A 600w will be more then enough.

For graphics card a Radeon 6850 will run pretty much everything you throw at it. Skyrim on max etc. The 6870 Deg listed is a bit better but I don't think it's really worth the extra $$$

I don't know much about motherboards so I'll leave that to someone else

Also my guide :3

Devie:
nah man I'm not going anywhere near 600 watts and if I'm ever gonna go down below 850 (of course it depends on the mobo I'm getting which idk yet) then it would be about 750 watts

changes so far:

Im changing the HDD to this
