Because other than the characters it had nothing to do with Resident Evil.

It was a random co-op run'n'shoot game that wasn't even that good at it.

And it was basically a punch to the face to everything story related.

every since they roided him up, and made him looked like a hulked up body builder i have never forgiven Capcom.

the funny thing about RE5 is alot of it contradicts the RE story line. since it wasnt directed by the same person. and the same ppl that are doing RE6 did RE5.

infact even the charcters in RE5 are a farcry from their original interpretations, its like they just read a wikipedia article and made up their own personalities for these characters. 

this coming form a die hard RE fan. RE5 was just a slap to the face, and RE6 is just a bandaid for the series. it may give the RE fans a  false sense of comfort because zombies are being brought back along with character that have been deemed popular. but imagine playing RE4 or RE5 but with the enemies replaced with slow moving zombies with the same HP and that is RE6 for you i mean how terrifying or thrilling would that be?  what was really fucking scary was running around a dark corridor with fixed camera angles and zombie or BOW popping out from no where. and having to conserve your ammo and health because it wasnt given to you on a silver platter.

Okay so its come too my attention that a lot has happened in the RE6 world since February, introducing a lot of new game play options, characters, 3 complete story lines that all converge several times throughout the game.

My thoughts, at first I was really dreading this release after RE5's epic derp fail. but from what I've seen from this release, I'm actually excited about this. However I've been wrong about these things before, for example Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City looked very promising, but turned out to be a huge flop. Though I can't help but feel Jake Muller's role as Wesker's son is only for fan service rather than progressing the story line.
so that's just my thoughts so far, would love to hear you guys take on this release.
