I remember when I was a little girl and my Pops was deployed, he promised me he would get back on a certain date. I told everyone the date he told me he would get back. My mom kept insisting and telling everyone that he wasn't really going to come back then, he just told me that so that I had something to hold on to. On that date though, he did in fact come home. I had faith in my him and he kept his promise, that was one of the best feelings in the world.
