TTT Low Karma

So on the TTT server, I have like 100-150 Karma. This happened randomly a few days ago. I logged onto the server and had that karma. Does anyone know why it's so low? I don't want trolling or flaming here; I know I didn't RDM and that's good enough for me.

I have noticed that the karma loss feels ... er ... inconsistent.  How is it fully determined?  As in, what variables are involved, calculations, etc?
