I can't afford to go buying parts for a computer hoping it will work :l.
Apparently that's Acer's logic though...
I sent the damn thing to them, they replace the HDD, I spend a bunch of time getting all my shit back together, and it STILL doesn't work. My god...

Good, I can't understand Laptop gaming (unless there is a lack of money). It's like trying to pull a trailer with a Ferrari.

The fun of store bought computers.
>Parents had HP a few years ago
>Hard-drive failure
>Sent back in
>Got returned
>Shit still didn't work
>Cycle repeated for a few times until parents ragequit and bought a compaq

I remembered a time when my pc wouldn't work for shit. Steam, any pages, nothing.
I had to go and get it fixed, and now it has been working fine ever sense (this was like last summer, why do you think I was gone for so long?)
-
I wouldn't be so pissed but I JUST got my computer back and JUST started working on a lot of school work I've got to get caught up on... and now it doesn't work. Now I'm fucked over for school :l.

we could all buy 1 part for sabbs computer and then send it to him

Meaning 1 laptop for portability/travel, 1 desktop for home/office use.

Crashes mainly if I try to play a game. Specifically if I try to play any game the computer will completely just shut off within about 5 minutes maybe less. Also runs really slow and freezes at times.

What does the screen say when you BSoD?

It shuts off.
No blue screen, no anything. Just shuts directly off.

Yes, I know. At points, (not around the time of crashing however) the fans will start up really fast and make a shit ton of noise.
I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the video card... I don't know much about hardware shit, but I guess it's probably more likely to be something to do with the CPU? Maybe RAM? Either way I can't fool around hoping shit will work. My brother also previously had the same computer, he also had a lot of issues, and he got a nice new $1700 Gateway computer... I'm later probably going to try plugging in his RAM to see if it makes a difference, as I don't think his RAM from his old computer was damaged. Can't mess around with the CPU though... he ripped the heat sinc. and fan off of it :l. I doubt the RAM will work, but I'ma give it a go I guess :/.

Since his is newer I don't think it will work because yours probably uses older DDR2 ram which doesn't work in a DDR3 slot.
