Ok my HIS Radeon 5770 runs 65-69 degrees celsius during gaming time, with games like Dragon Age 2 and Battlefield 3. I this temperature fine?
-
well i have a 6770 which i guess should be similar to your 5770 and my temp goes up-to 45 under extreme stress
if you haven't cleaned your gpu in a while take it out of your case, it should be full of dust clean it and apply new thermal paste then reinstall heat-sink and reinstall the gpu the temps should go down, i would make sure my temps wouldn't go above 70 as that might be dangerous
if all else fails increase the gpu fan speed using the ati over boost thingy

if it makes you feel better I'm always on a melt down...

Temps are fine.
I would be more scared in the 80+ ranges.

That's strange because the 6770 is a newer card and less powerful then mine and I only get about 58c during my most intense games and about 30c idle. But what peetah said, worry more if it gets to 80c

I have a 5770, it's pretty normal so don't worry :) (skyrim ultra-high ftw)

Sapphire Radeon X1650 Pro: 51 °C (124 °F)
I know, bad GPU and a late comment. ;)
