After playing Oblivion, I'm definitely looking forward to this.
I'm going up to Gamestop with the boyfriend right now as hes buying it for himself.

Sadly I won't get to play immidietely but I get to watch?
:(

Anyway, I love what they did to it.. You can marry someone in the game, have pets and have social links!
I'm surprised not many ppl on the forums are excited about this, let alone know about it :O

Every one of my real life friends are being gayfags and being too excited about this game.
Either way itll be a great game! Can't wait to play!

nah people have their own opinion.
Some people don't like rpgs such as this and some do
Some people would prefer fps games like call of duty and all that and some don't.
Or some just like valve games or indie games
some like flash games or those games on facebook like mafia wars

Like non of the above (except for rpgs and SOME fps and valve games) I like because.. well I have my own reasons but I'll just say "its too mainstream" to piss people off even though that's not the case LOL :3

but ya its coo

There is none.

One of the things that makes TES so great, is the level of immersion it has.

Bethesda explained why there wouldn't be any multiplayer/co-op.

Quote
''It's not wrong or unreasonable for people to want to experience a game with their friends, or want to do things with folks online. There's nothing wrong with that at all. What we've tried to do is help people understand that in game development, it's all about trade-offs. One of our mantras here is that you can do anything - you just can't do everything.

So certainly we could do multiplayer. Unquestionably. It's not a thing we're technically incapable of figuring out. But when we draw up the list of things we'd like to have cut or change in order to support that feature, what we end up with is unpalatable. It'd make a lesser version of the game. And there is no doubt on the dev side that that is the case."

Calm down Mr. Tourrets. That's how it is with almost any release. There are usually linguistic, cultural, hardware and software, legal, graphic and musical differences that force the game to take longer to release in other countries.

Push comes to shove, (assuming you at least pre-ordered), you can always just torrent the US copy of the game if you can't wait.

Or if you're really into the whole medieval dragons and magic thing.

I like the idea of medieval things, but not so much when it ties in with magic.

Skyrim's only noticeable similarity is the engine. The gameplay itself is entirely different.
Magic plays a major role in the game, especially with the main story quests.
While your character doesn't even have to major in any magic skills, it's still prominent in the game.
Oh, and theres a cat/lizard race if you're into that sort of thing. Ha.

So yeah, it's a really nerdy game. Heh. Really only good if you're interested in that sort of stuff.

Turns out, being a vampire makes people attack you on sight.

HOWEVER...

If you suck the blood of a sleeping NPC, it reverts you to stage 1 vampirism, which is safe again.

I just need to find someone to rape.

I think guards would stop too, but you have to pay your dues, law breaker.

I have a HD6850, and this shit can only run at 20-25fps on high. The strange thing is though, if I update my drivers/reinstall them, it hit about 75 fps max, indoors and out. Same thing goes for BF3.

Sadly Axule, steam offers no refunds, I demanded one a while ago and this is the answer I got:

Hello Mathieu,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

As with most software products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on games, DLC or in-game items purchased on our website or through the Steam Client.

Please review Section 4 of the Steam Subscriber Agreement for more information.
http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=subscriber_agreement (http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=subscriber_agreement)

We will make an exception and refund preorders as long as the request is received prior to the release of the game. This only applies to preorders purchased from your account, preordered titles received or sent through the Steam Trading system cannot be refunded.

I would assume there is an option to hide the helmet, sorta like WoW, but idk.
Haven't played the game much

No no no, I meant like the visibility of it.
You'll have the helmet on, you just won't see it on your character.
That's why I added in the WoW thing, they have it on there.

I have a quad-core overclocked AMD athlon x4 at about 2.95 ghz. You definitely should upgrade your CPU, especially with Skyrim, solely because of how huge the world is. And that it loads progressively as you explore.

I don't get stuttering, or freezes while exploring the world.

I idle at about 30% with UTorrent and steam running, so the load on my HDD is even bigger.

I have a 2.0Ghz laptop dual core that only runs at about 1.6ghz.

._.

Here is the reply they sent me.

Shit was so cash even though I died. I'm stupid.
