The day of 7 Billion (The day when the human population reaches 7 Billion people), is estimated by the UN to be on Halloween of this year, Oct 31st 2011.

The planet has a natural limit for capacity on people, and most modern countries are already stabilizing, so so long as no catastrophic event or decision takes place, the population will naturally stabilize depending on the efficiency in the usage of natural resources.

Only real effect is natural disasters will begin to affect more people, and some possibility for localized starvation and such, as the population swings back and forth in a effort to stabilize.
