Okay, So I have this school project which we have to make a radio play (Only audio is important) I've inserted some pictures so I can upload to youtube (I don't need the pictures for the project; just the audio is important) Now when I Render (also real-time render) as .avi, It' 2.21 gb. Weird thing is that its only 11 mins.

render it as wmv.. it should come out <500mb at 1080i

Well, I use these rendering settings I got from Dasboschitt...
Works pretty damn well
Rendering: .wmv format
Project tab:
- Rendering quality: Best
Audio tab:
- Mode: CBR
- Format: Windows Media Audio 9.2
- Attributes: 64 KBPS, 44kHz, Stereo (A/V) CBR
Video tab:
- Mode: Quality VBR
- Format: Windows Media Video 9
- Image Size: DVD quality (640 x 480)
- Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.000 (Square)
- Frame Rate (fps): 29.970 (NTSC)
- Seconds per keyframe: 5
- Quality (slider): 100%

Follow my exact instructions:
When making a new project always set it to the said settings below and just save the rendering template by making a name then click save.
1.Click Render as when saving project
2.Choose Sony AVC, Any template will do
3.Click custom
4.Now follow these settings

I get a good file size and quality with these settings.
