What the title says.

Only downside I see is people being able to see inside other peoples bases by spectating them or something. :v

But at least it'd be easier to catch hackers and such.

This would be VERY useful.

Noramlly I hear a lot of people complain about hackers, sadly I can't really spectate them to see if their actually using hacks.

yeah as Cable said its very easy to make a spectate plugin. A lot of admin mods already have them built it like ulx. I know ass mod doesn't but it would be pretty simple to code a chat command to the plugin.

He has a Creative Commons copyright on his gamemode, the one ANYONE can get.

It's the same one youtube allows to video uploaders, with the addition to the fact that you can't use his work for commercial uses.

What people ARE able to do though, is modify his work as much as they want, and are free to distribute whatever they want of it.

There was never a reason we couldn't modify it in the first place.

No, he used a different license in the header of the lua files.
The license agreement prevents direct modification of the distributed code.

This shouldn't effect the possible permanence of the server and I'm sure bugs will be able to be handled without violating the license.

not sure if coolz wants it though

For further clarification, I quoted the latest code header in the init.lua file distributed with the gamemode over svn.

That license is probably attributed to the website content and design.

So I made a spectator mode tonight, should be working okey after next map change.

Thanks to Deacon for helping test and reminding me it might be important to show player name lolol

To enter spectate, type "spectate" in console without the quotes.
To stop spectating, type "spectatestop" in console without the quotes.

The killcam centers on the persons face when you die. I've never encountered a situation where I couldn't reasonably determine where a person was based on the angle at which I died.

The game is far too fast paced for that to make any difference.

The spec mode is REALLY glitchy.

I can't turn nor spectate anyone and nothing seems to fix it other than joining :/

It was very hard to reproduce this, as it is not "REALLY glitchy".

The time I was able to reproduce was by spamming right and left click lol

I don't believe it's that big of a deal to rejoin if you are already in spectate mode

If you have ways to constantly reproduce let me knowz

Well, after rejoining a couple of times and doing it every time right when I got into spec, it stopped happening. I think it was because I was rapidly switching between people and modes by pressing right-click.
