Sadly it failed to meet any of my expectations.

1. It's slower than intel procs that are $80 cheaper
2. It consumes more power than intel procs of the same class
3. It's not a complete revamp of AMD's processor line, just a small revision.

There is honestly no reason to buy one what-so-ever. It's slower, more expensive, and generates more heat.

I am deeply disappointed in AMD tbh, I was really hoping they would step up their game and show intel whats what. Instead they just gave me the Phenom II X8.  :icecream:

Here be a review:

God dammit.

I was looking forward to it too.

AMD seems to be falling behind this year. A shame. Was looking forward to see how how this "bulldozer" that everyone would say would decimate intel sandys. I am deeply disappointed that they can hardly even compete...

Well the AMD Llano notebook cpu managed to beat the core i7 sandybridge notebook cpu at least...

But in desktop processor terms, I think the core i7 still beat the Llano.

Well the most expensive Llano is $140 while the i7 is $300.

Most expensive doesnt reflect average. Many companies put out some obscenely expensive and more/less good thing for a series, and people buy it up.
nvidia 570 vs 580 for example

that reminds me. My friend thinks AMD sucks just because most of their CPU's are cheaper then Intels. He hasn't ever had an AMD either.
