Title: Signatures.
Post by: Roach :3 on October 04, 2011, 11:06:14 AM
Kay, so I'm recently making game related sigs.
I made few, so if you guys want me to make you sig post or pm me a picture that is related, it doesn't have to be game related it can be anything.
If you want one of the sigs that I made ask me about it(there might be a person that already uses the sig.), also every time I'll make new sig I'll post or add it.
I hope you like it.

For now its all, I'd like to see a feed back and read the comments about the sigs.

They seem very nice! But... it seems like it's missing something. Don't know what though...

Well if it's CnC you are looking for, I think what silent is getting at is that all though you have placement of a render/filler and there is seemingly little negative space, the overall sig is very blank. You have very flat backgrounds with no variation what so ever. This can be fixed by adding depth, texture, lighting and a variety of other effects. Hope this helps man, I am still learning in photoshop, so I know how it can be tough making sigs sometimes.

You're only really using a render and adding some stripes. I like to tend to add some effect to a background and have my render match with the background. For example,

I grabbed the background from a random site and I got Cloud from FF because he was a matching render. Adding a background can make your signature have a 'full' feeling.

What about that?

Its an improvement but the colors don't mix and match very well. I tend to use same colors, or black and white if I need to. I wouldn't really suggest the whole wrap around with the lights. Try mixing the render into the image and use font, not an icon. My friend requested I make him a Sean Paul signature. Although the colors of my render were different from my background, I mixed in the render with the background leading in this kind of effect. The text can also play a huge role in the signature itself. I added a caption underneath my label, just made it tiny so nobody can see.
