I wouldn't even want to waste $$$ on those until the price:capacity is equally matched.

Oh right.

Nope. Not why :l

I'd like to get myself an SSD, not to brag but because the performance increase is so great...
also he stated that his old SSD broke for one reason or another

SSD's go out in a few months, especially with a lot of reading/writing.
-
Do SSD's use SATA or their own kind of plug?
-
Sata
-
SSDs do lack performance after a couple months constant use
stick to the 3 10000 rpm velociraptors and the 1 tb backup/recovery like me
(raids ftw)

Groped... fucking autofix Dropped it. Hard.

Constant writing will wear down the SSD, but that would take a very long time.
By the time it wears down your getting a new one.
Also Win7 supports TRIM so there wont be any slow downs over time.
