This was a bit half-serious, but I'm serious, if you wan't take a look at every topic in the videos board that's just a little bit funny and you'll see were I'm comming off at. The system may not work that way but it happens.

Oh and are the images broken? They look like they are for me but alas, 1Mb/s wifi

Just thought I'd put my two cents in, whether it's wanted or not. OP is clearly misunderstanding as he thinks Snivy (just using him as an example), got a shit load of +1's just because his video was hilarious. Sure, in Snivy's case, it made me laugh for like a minute straight. However, when you look at excessive +1's, or even massive -1's for that matter, you can clearly see it's more of - as Peetah stated - a bandwagon effect. If you don't already know what the bandwagon effect is, google it.

Usually what happens is that people view a thread and see certain people +1/-1'ing it and responding on how funny/stupid the post(s) is(are), and then make it into a trend to +1/-1 the OP (or a certain post), or even in some cases, every post in the thread. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying +1/-1'ing any post ever is jumping on a bandwagon. What I am saying though, is that you should be on the lookout for random posts that just happen to be +1'd by the same people who usually do tend to easily jump on bandwagons (not going to give names) and you'll see what I mean.

Might as well give some tips so people don't get spammed with -1'ns or have the entire thread going "OLD" or something similar when they post a stupid video.

- Try not to post a video with over 100,000 views.
- Avoid posting "old" videos, within 3 months is the safe zone.
- The only exception to the "old" video tip is if the video has less than 10,000 views. (Example being that the video was uploaded a year ago, but only has about 6,000 views.)
- Even if the video was uploaded 3 days ago, if it has over 3 million views, chances are people in the community have already seen it.
- Try not to post videos from big-name youtubers (dasbo, DWL, R33MIX, FreddieW, ect).
- Do a quick forum search on the title of the video. People want to see something different. If you repost a video that already exists somewhere on the forums, your thread probably won't end well.

These only apply when you make a thread solely for that video. When using a video to make a reply to a post, disregard all the above.

Why do you care about that thread so much, I don't think it was worth to bring the thread in here.
People responded to you just as rude as you did. In my opinion, the bandwagon effect has its pros too, because in some cases some people might be afraid to say something against a popular and known member of the community unless they see someone who is also popular and known saying the same thing, so what I'm saying is that it might help people to voice their opinions more freely in certain situations.
