I can't run ANY .jar file.

How i think i fucked things up is i changed the default thing to open with to javaw, then it fucked up.

help? i wanna get my mc server for 1.8 up so that me and my sis can play.

Open with > Java

If that doesn't work then reinstall java.

If you want to run a server then create a txt file and copy paste this into it without quotes: "@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
"%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar minecraft_server.jar
PAUSE"

then rename this txt file into RUN.bat, and you are done.

it is installed, and i set windows to know where java is, but... i got java 7.


is that the problem?

uninstall and install java 32bit 1.6 upd 27 or 26

32 bit is supported on 64 bit systems believe it or not. Most or some programs still run 32 bit.
