The reason I took a liking to .:`=-~rANdOm~`-=:. TTT was for its karma system, classic items only, and reasonable slot amount.
Karma System
While the server still maintains an effective karma system, it seems that a lot less karma is gained per round. Nothing major, I don't mind this too much.
Classic Items Only
Many new guns have been added. All these guns have different ammo types, fire rates, spread, reload times, damage amounts, and clip sizes.
Balancing them with the existing guns is near impossible.
Besides that, I was perfectly content with the classic weapons, they were really well put together.
Slot Amount
There are now 24 player slots.
Mic's are used almost non-stop, and people just talk over each other.
I hate to have to mute people, because then you miss game related talk.
The maps are crowded with people, things get confusing and rdm spree's happen around every corner.
So tl;dr, please consider reverting the server back to normal.
It was really fun with classic weapons and a manageable player count.
(I'd also like to hear everyone else's thoughts.)

No changes have been made to the karma system (to my knowledge).
The new weapons are meant to be a fresh change in tactics; I can promise you that they have been (quite meticulously) balanced, and are continuing to be so as the game unfolds.
Pending an update, none are more powerful than their OEM TTT counterparts; they have their niches, though. For example, the damage multiplier for a headshot with the barret (big ass rifle) is actually LESS than that of the normal rifle. Enough to kill in one shot, but when paired with the other attributes (slow reload time, slow time between shots, etc) it becomes effective in only a handful of situations.
There are not any plans for any new weapons currently; we'll see about the future. Only 2 of these weapons use custom content, the rest is Counter Strike: Source content.

I agree with the player slots. It was fun for a while, different, but quite hectic. I think tbh, having 18 slots instead of 16 would be cool though. Just allows a few more players to join and it shouldn't be too hectic.
The weapons I disagree, I see your points and all, but I think the fun, originality, and added necessity for strategy ways more in my wants for those points to matter too much for me. (by necessity for strategy I'm referring to how some weapons are more logic and better to use with low/high karma than other weapons now... which I think REALLY adds to the game)
But keep in mind, this is all basically in "beta" if I may say. Nothing that's added right now is indefinitely permanent, and it can easily all be modified or removed.

maybe you've done it many times before, that is adding balanced weapons to TTT before, in which case it might be allright, you cant simply declare that "i know what im doing, i know how to balance it"
though i havent used them all that much yet, my only point on that is you cant simply declare that you've balanced it and know what you're doing, even if you did spend a few hours coding them
oh and yeah, i think vanilla was best, the guns worked, we didnt need more guns, you babble on about these tactics and crap but its just something to kill people with

Clearly, you don't play the game the same. The points previously made in the thread are quite accurate and important...
And seriously, Deacon isn't saying the guns are amazingly balanced and blah blah perfection blah blah faggotry, he's saying they weren't simply downloaded and slapped on the server, a lot of time and effort was put into making the guns and making them work properly with the server and it's needs. Whether you know so or not, Deacon did a quite a fair amount of work in making weapons as good as he could, I'd been talking to him half the time he was working on it, getting people to help him make and test them, and what ever else.
Don't just come in assuming you know everything and then basically imply that everyone's doing a terrible job and w/e.

Guns are fine. If you don't like them, don't get them. If you do like them, well then get them.
I kind of like the player slots. I can agree that it is a lttle to much, but I do like having more than 16 players as well as more than 3 T's.

Okay, so, after playing TTT again, the server is still hectic as shit at 20 players... it's impossible to manage the server, everyone's complaining about everything and he has hacks he's rdming blah blah blah it's impossible to watch the whole server at once ._..
REALLY need to consider reducing it to 18 players...

I've played TTT for ever, been VIP for ever. I know how hectic it usually is. This is just terrible usually... RDM left and right... like... way... way... more...

Meticulously. Yes. I am the guy who went through the original TTT weapons coding, found their attributes, and designed the new guns to be equivalent yet distinctly different in several categories. The only thing that looks weird is the gun in your hand. Everything has been balanced according to what many people have decided was a fair system, and even after we have revised and taken suggestions.
If you don't like them, don't use them.
Its not my fault that your style of gameplay is not suited to a close-range shotgun or a slow, heavy sniper rifle.
Other peoples styles are different than your own; this is why the new weapons were added

I'd have to ask coolz, but I think this is the model I chose being retarded. If thats the case, its as easy as finding another model.

can never get a gun because of the new slots either
i do mute an such, but as i said, if one person doesnt mute, it can mean gameover for the innocent, because mic is very important to the gamemode

In my opinion 16 was the most it should be and definitely no more, because admins and VIP pile on top and it can reach 18 to 20 from that.

The reason it goes to 17/16 is because a client has timed out or something, and glitches. 17 players aren't actually playing as far as I know.

That's what coolz said also, which obviously makes sense, but then there wouldn't be 17/16 terrorists on the scoreboard. (none connecting)
