Am currently using Galaxy S 2.1 Gingerbread perma-rooted. I am loving the battery life and HD hueg screen and phone can easily handle iOS4.x emulation. overall just a great phone.

so what if the galaxy case is made of plashit go buy a body armor case for it

Eeew... 2.2.x and beyond is lacking in some heavy shit... 2.1 gingerbread running clockwork mod is the way to go.. 2.1 can be permarooted. love it
