I think there is a difference in acquaintances you meet in both forms of schooling:

High-School - You at least know one or two people, and you're probably not far from home
College - You're all alone, meeting new people. Practically training for living on your own

Either way it's fun :D

College is whatever you want it to be
For me, it was another place to fail

for some of you it can be a place to experiment with mind-numbing drugs

Well, if you're worried about the people, just mind your own business and you should be fine. But in general, just make sure your teachers like you lol.

So far, Highschool has just been broing for me.
It's not easy, it's just not very memorable yet. I'm planning on changing that for Jr. year if I'm not to busy with homework.

9th grade, lol. For me, it was pretty chill. The first couple of weeks scared the shit out of me though, I felt like crying every day. A big part of it was because I had just moved to Hawaii the day before and already I was going to this big campus with people who I never knew before.

My advice, get the teachers to know you. There were a few times where I needed there help with grades or such, and knowing them really helped out man.
In fact, one teacher would have sent me back to Algebra I (which I never took, this was in Geometry) when Told him I didnt take it. But thats whatever.

And for the love of God don't procrastinate like I am. It's hell in the long run. I'm still trying to quit.

9th grade was easy.
Just relax and do your work, but try to make friends with the teachers if they are not trolls. Highschool is like Jr. high, only that your grades matter.

I got a few.......

1.Homework, very important.

2.Study hard for exams.

3.Don't act like a dumbass or you will be called shit throughout high school.

4.Make some good friends, and its good to hang around your group of friends.

5.Don't miss class

6.Try to be friends with your teachers(real important) they have more trust if you do. For example, if you miss homework, they will give you more time to catch up cause they like you and trust you.

P.S: Love you bro. Hope this helped(No Homo)

I wish my school had a computer programming course for grade 9...
They only have a few courses for computer programming, only in grade 11 and 12. Taking the grade 11 course next semester.

I think my class schedule gos something like this for 10th.
-Geometry
-Physical Science
-Algebra II
-Some History Class
-Spanish? Computer App II?
-English II?
-??

I think I have Aspurgers Syndrom, so I'm a flippin' genius at math and lazy as a stoned sumo wrestler.
Just do your homework in class and you are good to go. Do it on the way to and from school if you need to.

Okay. First day. Was really nice. I learned you get out about an hour and a half earlier then junior high (depending on what classes you take) I was going to take French and Spanish but they didn't give me them so I only have PE, Algebra, and English (that's in order from when they start). On Mondays school starts an hour later (9:00). All my teachers are nice and the other students are much nicer. And this school is strangely nice to the Freshman.

tl;dr high school will be great

Well, school's going ok. (I'm actually in the library right now =/ )

WWII is my favorite class because we get to watch Band of Brothers AND Saving Pvt. Ryan.

Geomotry just SUCKS.

Where I live, they don't send you schedules or anything, you just find your corresponding homeroom by your last name and they give you your list. It's from what you picked the year before when it was time for the next year's classes to be picked, or what you picked if you're a new student during registration before school started.

So there's always anticipation, wither you get the class you wanted or not. :>

You said you didn't like BoB because you didn't like "watching the Germans being screwed over". And Saving Pvt. Ryan sucks, if you want a real D-Day scene watch The Longest Day.
BoB is awesome though. I recommend The Pacific too.

A lot of WWII enthusiast hate Saving Pvt. Ryan, it's totally unrealistic. Doesn't follow history nor would one platoon be sent to find a Pvt.

Want real WWII movies? Try Stalingrad, Attack on Leningrad, Talvisota (Winter wars 1939), etc.

So because every little detail of it isn't true to what happened in the war it's a bad movie?
It was a fucking great movie, it doesn't have to be exactly what happened in the war, it has to be entertaining, and I think they covered the entertaining part quite well.

*cough* I said war enthusiasts *cough*

Realism in movies is what separates war enthusiasts from the rest of society, you may have your kiddy movies. But I'll enjoy the real side of the story not skewed by Hollywood.

Again, I still don't see how it ruins the movie though. Even a war enthusiast, it's still a great movie with a great plot despite whether how accurate the details are or aren't.

Well it was my personal opinion on the movie, although I think the reason for not liking the movie comes from wanting something different.

For example: The movie "Die Brücke" was a WWII movie made in West Germany shortly after the war, I found this to be much more interesting as the story was historically correct.

Again each side of the argument is just personal opinion.
