That I know of, .dem's taken straight from gmod's recording system cannot be uploaded to YouTube. There is no converter for .dems that will actually show video.

Only xfire (which creates in-game lag) and fraps do the job. And a lot of people don't have fraps.

Sorry, but recording a 20 second video that is 2 GB and needs to be compressed THEN uploading it to youtube is a bit overkill, dontchya think?

Was there, saw it with my own eyes.
At first it was just him glitching from lag, or so it looked, but then it got obvious as hell.

Maybe for situations like this..but a lot of people don't like to do it the 1st way.

NOT to derail the topic, but say somebody wanted to record video without going through the trouble of working with DEM files, but was on OS X.

Has anybody tried to see how a screen capture using the new Quicktime screen recording feature?  For sound, it'd be a pain in the ass I know - connect a dual 1/8th inch male headed cable to the output, and line in, and record from line in if possible, but it seems like that could potentially work out well..  I've been noticing shit in TTT, but need a user friendly way of capturing it, so I'll try it and report back the results.
