So, I really enjoy the Stalker gamemode. I always want to play it, and LOVE being stalker. Well, since i can only play every 5th round on fretta (which happens to be every hour or 2 considering fretta gamemodes last 10~15 minutes), I was thinking:
What if:

rANdOm had a 24/7 Stalker server! Not one gmod server is 24/7 Stalker and I know people love to play it. Its almost like that dead HL2 mod "The Hidden". I dont know how practical it would be if rANdOm had a 24/7 Stalker, but I thought it would be pretty cool.  :trollface:

Opinions? Is it practical? Probably not.

Oh! Almost forgot! Could we add maps to the existing fretta for stalker mode?

I'm sorry but I don't think The Stalker game mode is popular/good enough to be it's own server. We would only put something as a server if it's something big such as wire build or TTT.

Most of the people on the fretta server are guests, and I don't know about them going and voting on the forum.

I was thinking about that kind of response...what about a temporary server to see how popular it would be?

And the cycle...yes, but I'd like to see what everyone has to say on the polls...

EDIT: And maybe fix the Stalker spawning glitch, where you just die or have no weapons?
EDIT2: its ts_labs that has the glitch...it glitches at ~14 members



And If we cant have a new server, why not make it so you can extend the current gmode?
And about the maps...maybe if you add more, it will be more popular? I like a little variety and 3 maps dont do It for me...

Also, Stalker has too many bugs and isn't really something that most of the community observe.

Yes, I do love Stalker and actually do try to help it but the idea of a server by itself is....Horrible. No offense mate.

That is only on the map ts_labs, I think....

So is Surf, Pedo bear Escape, Gamemaster, and so on.

If any of them WERE considered to be an actual server, it should be Surf.

It's fine the way it is right now.

Surf is popular simply because it has a CRAPLOAD of maps to choose from, so it never gets old. Most of them are rubbish, and some don't even surf!  :yes:

I think stalker would be more popular if it had the maps posted previously...  :yes:

I find your lack of information annoying.

Ask some of the members who regularly play Fretta.

It's not the maps, a majority of people who don't like Stalker, don't like it because they don't like certain aspects of the gamemode.

I have played Fretta in this server for quite a while and that is what I know..

I am okay with getting some new maps for The Stalker, I just don't think we should make another server JUST for it...

As for Surf, it's exactly what you said, it's fun and there is a lot of maps for it. It barely has any glitches, a lot of people like it, and it's almost always voted for, but that doesn't neccasarily mean a whole server is going to be made for it. The only problems with it is learning HOW to Surf xD

Surf is pretty hard...

Anyways, I don't know. Maybe it just needs a few more maps and a little recoding, then it'll be good to go. I love the concept of Stalker, and hate waiting 5 rounds just to play it.
The next questions are:

Can we get these new maps?

New weapons or gadgets?

Can we have an option to extend the current gamemode?


And what is the model used for the Stalker? It shows an error for me.

Well I personally don't like The Stalker really, mainly is that I don't know how to play really, it's not exciting enough, and it's a bit glitchy at times :/

Just an idea... Anyways,

What about those maps? There were many people on the fretta server the other day that thought stalker would be way better if there was more maps for it. None of them were members of this forum (as far as I can tell).

What do you guys think about an option to vote to extend the current gamemode. And maybe have a limit so it won't be overused.

I use to hate surf so much. Now I enjoy it because I actually know how to gain speed, etc.

I love stalker but it should go by iteself on Fretta, because you play it from time to time. Playing it contstantly kinda kills it =/ But i love that gamemode, one of my fav Fretta so  :thumbsup:

Well, they CAN kill the Stalker with 1 well-aimed shotgun blast.

I've actually done it MANY times before...It's pretty easy to see the stalker if you stand still and don't panic when he screams one time at you ._.
