Title: I don't think I'll ever love a dog again

My dog brutally killed one of my cat's three-month old kittens right in front of me. Bit her in the face, she had like a sort of seizure and died, bleeding all over the sofa.

RIP Fritz, the middle kitty.

In the dog's defence, he was probably thinking that he was being attacked or something.

It's like if you sneak up on your dog, he'll instantly snap out for your arm.

I just sorta stared at the kitten in shock. You can't describe the feeling of looking into a kitten's eyes as it dies.

really, cause my dog will roll over on his back and expect me to rub his belly :l
then again, the only time my dog was ever violent in the least is when neighbor's dog tried to bite my sister...

but yea, sucks man...

boxer never got violent with us too. I didn't understand. Somoene would play fight him. As in, smack him around in the face and he'd get angry and bite as your hand came up to his face to smack him but his bites.. were sooooo gentle!

We have 5 kittens right now, 3 were crippled in an awful string accident when they were born. Tangled around 3 of their legs and ones neck. They all lived, but 3 don't have toes just the pad.

Think about our troops, some have seen their close friends slowly die from a horrendous abdominal injury. They carry on.
On a less horrible, but similar, situation you must try to do the same. There's no point to causing yourself further sadness by holding it against a whole family of creatures.
I'm not saying forget your cat, just try to forgive dogs.
