And I was about to say that no one made a 9/11 thread so far.
I mean, it's sad and all that of course, but seriously.
3,000 people died.
In the Tsunami that hit the Asian Coast 2004, 300,000 people died and no one even remembers it anymore today.
America brought it upon it's self, with their fucking foreign polices, and tendency with being the worlds police. Bound to happen sometimes.
Also, sorry Yomo, but what about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki drops by USA in 1945, killing a fuckload of more people the 9/11.
So, I don't give a fuck about 9/11. Inb4sum1ragesbecidgafbout9/11.
Cheesicle, Pearl Harbour was a 100% provoked attack.
USA moved all its troops right at the border of Japanese territory in the pacific, which almost forced them to attack somehow.
And what they did on Pearl Harbour was just ASKING for a huge attack. Who would just leave all its defences locked somewhere without having the key for it and station half a dozen soldiers on it when the whole damn world is at war?
Pearl Harbour was, after all, the reason the USA joined World War II, it wasn't that much of a surprise for them.
Sandniggas pwnt US.
sadfaic.What a faggot.
Sandniggas pwnt US.
About 3000 U.S. CIVILIANS killed in that single plane crash.like 95% of the iraq casualities are from jihads. So yeah, jihads aka towelheads are pwning everything.

And any of you disrespectful dipshits better stay the fuck away from this thread.
10 Years alreadyI know you want to express how you feel on this and shit, but seriously, could we just avoid talking like this? All that will come from it is people starting up flame wars and stupid arguments and shit... If anything, it'll just end up in getting the thread locked.
RIP

Well before I say what I need to say, let me state I have just as much respect for those who died in 9/11 as the next guy. I say this so someone doesn't go all apeshit on me for thinking I hate the USA and whatever.
Anyways, you really need to chill the fuck out man. Nobody here has "disrespected" 9/11, but instead said WHY it happened, or just stated other tragedies should be weighed just as high, if not more. Not only that, but if someone does decide to disrespect it, that's their opinion and they definitely should be allowed to express it. I mean really now, not to be rude/offensive, but think about it; do you even know anyone close who died in the attacks? Probably not. Did the attacks directly effect you? Probably not.
I mean really man, think about it. Earlier in this thread you tried to justify the nukes dropped on Japan by saying the Japanese provoked it and deserved it and whatnot, but it wasn't the 150,000-250,000 civilians that died that "provoked" the attacks.
TL;DR Before you start acting like someone speaking about 9/11 in any way you don't want them to because for some reason you feel you were somehow personally effected by the 9/11 attacks to the point you need to defend it on the internet, get your shit straight and look at your logic first.

Oh, you do now?Apparently, my act worked.

Can you imagine making the choice to do this?
Just for reference, this image is known as "The Falling Angel".

edit a year later: hurr i r edgy
I don't think they had a choice at all...
I can't believe I made this post a year ago. Haha, tried to put as many "fucks" in here as possible. It was probably because I was on /b/ at that time.Tbh, I agree with that. I don't really want to go into explanation on it because A) this is the internet, I can't expect shit to be taken seriously and to have an actual discussion where at no point is there stupid trolling or just plain stupid comments or w.e, and B) it's just not worth it. But yea, I have a lot of respect for anyone who's gone through the effects of 9/11 in any way, it's truly a terrible thing that happened, and a lot of innocent people had died for others' mistakes. (And for everyone that's going to say wowowow there are worse tragedies than 9/11 more people died for same reasons blah blah, I'm not saying that's wrong, but why make peoples' DEATHS into a competition? It doesn't mean that 9/11 was any less tragic...)
Still really, I think 9/11 is over dramatized.
It's also a HUGE source of blind patriotism.
It was horrible that 2 thousand people died, but really we don't need it to be shoved down our throats every year.
It also caused a useless war.
Brits, do you have any national remembrances, memorials, etc. on national television for the 6/6 bombings?
Tbh, I agree with that. I don't really want to go into explanation on it because A) this is the internet, I can't expect shit to be taken seriously and to have an actual discussion where at no point is there stupid trolling or just plain stupid comments or w.e, and B) it's just not worth it. And Cheesicle, I seriously don't see why you -1'd Tiger's post. He just said that there's a lot of blind patriotism on the subject, which really is true. He didn't in any way insult anyone in the post or mean to come across as offensive. Maybe if he had worded it like his last post that he quoted, but he didn't.
Our entire society is a network of safety nets: emergency services at the end of a phone line; health and safety in the workplace; friends; family; lovers. All there, if something goes wrong. All part of a carefully designed structure to prevent all but the most mundane of emotions.
One of the main reasons this hit us so hard was that nobody could even imagine something like this happening. This si something we went over in class.
