Title: Disable Windows 7 tdr?
Post by: Arcoyle on June 26, 2011, 01:10:33 PM
I dont know how many people acually read the help section... but this issue has been bothering me for a long long time and ive tried all sorts of stuff but i just cant get it to stop. If you dont know what tdr is google it cause I'm not entirely sure myself I just know its whats causing my problems. I know its a bad idea to disable it but being honest here my computer naturally runs at higher temps than is considered safe (it is safe it was made to run at these levels) and so the system doesnt like it even though it should be fine. Anyway, anyone who can help with this it would be fantastic as I AM FUCKING PISSED OFF!!!!!!

Thanks.

Insufficient power to run the card? overclocked?

I wouldn't disable it at the risk of system freeze

nah its not overclocked... Might be a power issue. Any idea how to boost that? Could a surge protecter be reducing the amount im getting?

I dont think there is a problem with system freeze, like I said my computer was designed to run at a higher heat level and on forums no one has had any problems with freezing up.

Get a bigger PSU, plug directly into the wall socket

use a 13A extension lead instead of 9 or 5
